Spring 2024 Cohort: Web3 & Gaming

Brinc, a global leader in accelerating ventures and fostering corporate innovation, has announced the selection of 9 startups for its Spring 2024 Web3 and Gaming accelerator programs. These startups, chosen from a pool of applicants spanning 47 countries, showcase promising potential to drive progress and set new benchmarks in their respective fields.

The Web3 cohort focuses on blockchain technology and decentralized applications, while the gaming cohort comprises businesses employing various technological approaches to craft interactive experiences. This marks Brinc’s inaugural Gaming cohort and the fourth iteration of its Web3 startup accelerators, underscoring its dedication to exploring the vast possibilities presented by blockchain technology and digital ecosystems.

Ian Chan, Brinc Web3 Program Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the selected startups, including AEM Algorithm, Frnzy, Lendr Network, and Spectre. He emphasized their capacity for innovation within the realms of blockchain and decentralized applications, highlighting Brinc’s role in equipping these innovators with resources to excel and scale their operations effectively.

Similarly, James Park, Brinc Gaming Associate Program Manager, lauded the chosen cohort for their creativity, passion, and innovative spirit in the gaming industry. He noted their diverse backgrounds and shared ambition to disrupt and elevate the gaming landscape.

The selected startups span a range of innovative solutions:

Web3 Startups:

  1. AEM Algorithm (Australia): Leading in crypto accounting, offering solutions for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions.
  2. Frnzy (UK): Redefining the auction process with a dynamic, peer-to-peer live shopping platform.
  3. Lendr Network (USA): Offering decentralized real-world asset (RWA) index tokens for diversified investments in DeFi protocols.
  4. Spectre.Finance (Hong Kong): Building a decentralized proprietary trading funds protocol to unlock liquidity for crypto traders.

Gaming Startups:

  1. Asset Hub (USA): Creating 3D worlds and assets with AI-powered tools for agile development.
  2. Black Smoke Studios (Finland): Developing games for major IPs like Shaun The Sheep and Neopets.
  3. BugBlio Studio (Thailand): Independent game development studio with accolades for their co-op dungeon-crawler game, LightSup!.
  4. Krypto Fighters (Thailand): A casual strategy NFT game set in the virtual city of Kryptolis, offering diverse gameplay experiences.
  5. Null Horizons (Indonesia): An NFT sci-fi-themed Trading Card Game (TCG) with unique mechanics inspired by tabletop role-playing games.
