IllumineX, a private and non-custodial cross-chain wallet, has launched an innovative Bitcoin privacy feature that eliminates the need for mixers. According to a press release shared exclusively with Cryptonews, this launch addresses pressing privacy concerns that crypto users frequently encounter.
The IllumineX platform, which supports both EVM and non-EVM blockchains, aims to offer users a solution to reclaim their privacy fully. This privacy-centered wallet uses the advanced confidential computing capabilities of the Oasis Sapphire platform, which disrupts the public traceability between source and destination addresses, thereby enhancing user security.
Secure Management of Financial Data
With this development, users can manage their sensitive financial data securely while participating in on-chain activities. The IllumineX mainnet initially launched on the Oasis Sapphire network in February 2024.
Founder and CEO Liza Yudina noted the challenges posed by the transparent nature of public blockchains, which have discouraged widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies. She emphasized that public visibility of transactions creates barriers for safe and private use.
Privacy-Driven Innovation in Blockchain Technology
Will Wendt, Head of Ecosystem at Oasis Network, highlighted that the IllumineX launch is expected to transform privacy standards in blockchain technology.
Key Features Enhancing Privacy
IllumineX offers privacy for multiple assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The platform enables private storage, transfers, and swaps, with support for non-EVM chains such as Solana and Tron. Additionally, IllumineX allows gasless transactions, improving usability while maintaining on-chain privacy. Its swap aggregation feature ensures users get optimal pricing for swaps from their private balances.
The platform also incorporates a robust AML system to flag suspicious wallets, adding another layer of security.
Future Expansion Plans
The IllumineX team is actively working on expanding its integration with additional platforms, including Solana, Tron, and Dash. This planned integration will enable the private wallet to be utilized across various applications, significantly extending its ecosystem reach.
